How to Say Date in English Properly

The date is said in English by using ordinal numbers. For example:   We say third of June, not say three of June.   The ordinal numbers of the Date: 1 st = First 2 nd = Second 3 rd = Third   4 th = Fourth 5 th = Fifth 6 th = Sixth 7 th = Seventh 8 th = Eighth 9 th Ninth 10 th = Tenth   11 th = Eleventh 12 th Twelfth 13 th = Thirteenth 14 th = Fourteenth 15 th = Fifteenth 16 th = Sixteenth 17 th = Seventeenth 18 th = Eighteenth 19 th = Nineteenth 20 th = Twentieth     21 st = Twenty-First 22 nd = Twenty-Second 23 rd = Twenty-Third   24 th = Twenty-Fourth 25 th = Twenty-Fifth 26 th = Twenty-Sixth 27 th = Twenty-Seventh 28 th = Twenty-Eighth 29 th = Twenty-Ninth 30 th = Thirtieth 31 st = Thirty-First  

How to Say Time in English Properly

For example, we can say now time is 2.00 o’clock and we can say the time as following way. 1.    2.00 = It is 2 o’clock. 2.    2.05 = It is 5 past 2. 3.    2.10 = It is 10 past 2. 4.    2.15 = It is quarter past 2.  5.    2.20 = It is 20 past 2. 6.    2.25 = It is 25 past 2. 7.    2.30 = It is half past 2. 8.    2.35 = It is 25 to 3. 9.    2.40 = It is 20 to 3. 10.    2.45 = It is quarter to 3. 11.    2.50 = It is 10 to 3. 12.    2.55 = It is 5 to 3. 13.    3.00 = It is 3 o’clock.
